With their first year of Girl Scouts now completed (thanks to Janelle's wonderful leadership of Troop 2147!), Elise & Chloe got to attend the annual Daddy-Daughter Sock Hop dance last weekend. Our neighbors down the street loaned us a couple of their poodle skirts and I dug out some jeans and a white t-shirt, and off we went. Fortunately the girls are oblivious to the fact that I've got two left feet on the dance floor, so we managed to have a VERY FUN night of dinner & dancing. We even came home with one of the door prizes - a $15 gift card to our choice of two restaurants,
Joe's Real BBQ or
Joe's Farmhouse Grill (both are favorites that we've written about previously). Maybe we'll run across another sock hop sometime that I can go to with Janelle!
